our philosophy centers on holistic care, encompassing the complete individual rather than merely their symptoms. we embrace a comprehensive approach that harmonizes the mind, body + spirit, offering trauma-informed, evidence-based therapeutic care. our mission is to foster healing and personal growth, enabling individuals to guide fulfilling and balanced lives.

healing modalities

emdr

structured approach that helps individuals process painful life events +/ memories by utilizing bilateral stimulation, such as rhythmic tapping, to facilitate the brain's natural healing mechanisms. during EMDR sessions, individuals work to reprocess distressing experiences, reduce their emotional charge and promote psychological healing.

ifs

psychotherapeutic approach that views the mind as a collection of distinct, interacting sub-personalities or "parts." through guided introspection and dialogue, individuals work to understand, communicate with, and harmonize these parts, leading to improved emotional well-being and self-awareness.

somatic

body-centered approach that focuses on resolving trauma and stress by gently guiding individuals to tune into and release physical sensations associated with their traumatic experiences. this method encourages the gradual release of trapped fight, flight, or freeze responses in the body, promoting healing and regulation.

Ewelina Boch, LCSW

the intersection of the human mind and neuroscience has always held my fascination, an interest that can be traced back to my experience with early acculturation to the United States. this curiosity led me to pursue my graduate degree at the University of Chicago.

over my six years of clinical experience in community mental health, I observed a significant gap in the existing healthcare framework - the distinct separation between the mind and body in individual care. this observation served as the catalyst to pursue EMDR + IFS training and for the establishment of Congruency Integrated Counseling, PLLC.

I believe that the human experience can be incredibly challenging and isolating at times - often resulting in various forms of physical, emotional + spiritual distress.  with this in mind, my clinical approach is rooted in neuroscience and nervous system health, including healthy doses of humor and straightforwardness. my intention is to get at the root of what is causing distress, facilitate inner exploration, and ultimately support clients as they reconnect with themselves.

on a personal note - a few things that make me feel alive:

  • seeing someone in their 'flow state'
  • saunas
  • exploring new cultures + terrains
  • ‘ah-ha’ moments
  • witty humor + sarcasm
